Beginner-friendly? not for the faint of heart

As more and more people think outside the box over the years, that box expands to accomodate those ideas. Unfortunately, "Arcane" is so far outside the box, it can't even see it anymore.

The good: Lizdek's always had a bit of a penchant for dropping jaws to the floor. Well, he strikes again, and "Arcane" is the meatiest, most metallic, most merciless ravaging of boundaries I've heard in a long time. This feels less like an innovator and more like a warning of just how mad this boundless style of production can get.

The bad: Perhaps "Arcane" is just a little too creative, a little too ahead of its time. Personally, I think that's great, but it does make it a whole lot more difficult to digest.

Name Comments Superlative
Bite The sound design is definitely creative, no, it's completley and utterly bizarre - track is a bit overly abrasive but I don't care Standout
Dogma Insane production across the trap and house drops, super creative even if the sample is a bit irritating Intense
Autofocus A strong showing from the hardwave influences here, with a lot of creative lead work and complementing production Standout
EXECUTE Meaty, slamming techno kick that dominates the mix perhaps a little too much for me - powerful tune though Intense
SCREAMER Lizdek's uniqueness once again shines through, with the metallic sound design and massive drop movements Intense
close2me Really weird shuffling garage cut, with murky production and echoey basslines alongside the soft vocal Switchup
