The good: Sheer complexity is the primary strength of "Nothing Isn't". blanketdragon's debut EP sound glitchy, and by glitchy, I mean seriously glitchy. It seems the primary aim is to mix and layer several different elements into bombarding the listener with an eclectic range of sound and technique in an undoubtedly impressive fashion. And it does that, and it does it well. This is a creative little project from blanketdragon, a project with sensory overload in generous proportions and hints of character to boot.

The bad: I will admit, though, the sensory overload is far too much to process easily. "Nothing Isn't" is not an easily digestable EP by any means, because there's simply far too many elements that go into the sound design. Whilst that sound design is very accomplished, every single other element suffers, even the overall musicality of the project.

Nothing Isn't Complicated mix and frenzied sound design, feels a little overdone, but is quite impressive Intense
Quantized Moment of Distinction Strong basses and a more prominent beat in the opener behind sometimes experimental and sometimes chiller sounds Standout
Cacophony Very intense and chaotic production that does a lot in a short amount of time — a cacophony, indeed Intense
Life In Reverse More chilled-out vibe with complex, liquidy production, doing well to keep itself balanced and coherent Laid-back
