Beginner-friendly? probably not
Since leaving Pixel Terror for his solo Afinity project, Ahrya has proven himself to be a particularly diverse producer within the realm of bass music.
The good: "USB.1" strikes at a hybrid trap sound that is slowly becoming more popular in the scene currently, and Afinity executes pretty damn well on it. This is just a 3 track EP, but each track brings its own approach, whether that's a chunky bassline-driven one or a stomping brostep-influenced one, and yet each track sounds... right... when you put it in the context of the EP. Simple, danceable, and I must also commend Afinity for sticking to one idea and maintaining it thoroughly well. I'll be the first to admit that I didn't expect to like "USB.1" this much.
The bad: The length limits its score, sure, but admittedly I do also think that being just 3 tracks feels fitting.

---|---|---|
Stop Drop Roll | Absolutely filthy hybrid trap, three sick drops with some distinct synthwork and insane fluttery leads | Standout |
Rhythm Talker | Sustained basslines and plenty of dynamic movements in the drops, sampling is a bit iffy but this is, again, insane | Intense |
SOUND | Crushing, dubstep-influenced drops with powerful synth sustains and plenty of growly sound design | Heavy |
